Organized by

Breathing While Black and Trans Extravaganza is a Protest, Rally, Health Fair and Fashion Show all in one. Black TGNCNB+ folks will be showcasing powerful and impactful messages and images through fashion, hair, makeup, and body art designs, with youth speaking in between to expand on the messages portrayed by the models. The event sold out 100 tickets for community, 3 youth speakers and 15 black TGNC Models. The models and speakers expressed what is happening, but the reasons why it is happening: transphobia, sexism, racism and anti-Blackness, poverty and other forms of oppression. We feel this event is an impactful way to really get attention to the issue of gender justice and the injustice that is happening to us. Florida is a place where a lot of injustice and oppression happens every day, and people, including elected officials, are numb to it.

With current legislation and all the ANTI-TGNC back lash this year we plan to make the event very informative to help educate those attending through a lens of Gender Justice and Creative Arts. This year we plan to host the event on Saturday, November 18th in Miami, at the Miami Freedom Lab. We are creating a space where black TGNC voices are at the forefront.
