Back in the days when steamships were the quickest and most elegant way to travel, the Queen Mary was the world's most prestigious ocean liner and the first choice for high society. Travel with us to Long Beach and let an expert guide steer you through a fascinating behind-the-scenes "Glory Days" tour of this ship's rich background, mysterious legends, and paranormal curiosities. During her 31 years at sea, the Queen Mary transported the rich and famous across the North Atlantic until her final voyage from England to Long Beach in 1967 marked the end of a well-traveled era. After the tour you'll have free time to explore the ship's exhibits and photographs and enjoy lunch on your own. Then, just as you might during a port call on an actual cruise, you can remain on the ship or take our free "shore excursion" to Long Beach's popular Shoreline Village for more dining options and to view Queen Mary from dry land.

TOUR ITINERARY

9:15 a.m - 9:45 a.m. - Comfort stop

10:30 a.m. - Arrive at Queen Mary

11:00 am - 12:00 pm - One-hour guided tour of the ship

12:00 pm - Free time to explore the ship on your own, or take our free "shore excursion" to Shoreline Village for lunch on own

12:30 pm - Coach departs Queen Mary for Shoreline Village for additional lunch on own options

2:45 pm - Shoreline Village coach returns to the ship for free time to explore the Queen Mary at your leisure

4:45 pm - Coach departs Queen Mary, picks up remaining guests at Shoreline Village, then departs for home

Activity Level: Moderate to High

Due to the historic nature of the Queen Mary, some areas of the ship may not be accessible to guests with mobility restrictions. Tours may require the extensive use of stairs and/or standing for long periods of time. Guests should be able to keep up with the docent during the guided tour. Following the guided tour you will have several hours on your own for lunch and exploring the Queen Mary or surrounding areas. The walking or standing during your free time is at your own pace.
